Audi S1 Sportback powers into Geneva
Audi is showing to the public gathered in Geneva the S1 Sportback that comes with a very aggressive body kit and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped around in 215/40 R17 tires. Also available as a three-door, the S1 is motivated by a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline TFSI engine delivering no less than 231 PS and 273 lb-ft of torque to Audi’s well-known quattro all-wheel drive setup. The S1 Sportback does 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 5.9 seconds whereas the three-door variant can do it in 5.8 seconds.
Audi has fitted the S1 with xenon plus headlights and LED taillights, while the braking system contains 310mm front disc brakes with red-painted calipers featuring the S1 logo. In Germany, Audi is asking 29,950 euros for the three-door S1 whereas the five-door S1 Sportback is listed with a starting price of 30,800 euros.
Deliveries of the Audi S1 will commence in the second half of 2014.
