Audi has launched the SQ5 Competition in Spain where it carries a starting price of €74,790. Exterior changes are limited to tinted windows, black roof rails and multi-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels while bi-xenon headlights and a sports suspension are also part of the package. Stepping inside the cabin, the special edition crossover has gained sports seats, automatic climate control system and an infotainment system featuring a seven-inch display. Other goodies part of the package include a parking assistant, automatic headlights as well as wipers.
Power of the Audi SQ5 Competition comes exclusively from a TDI 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel engine producing 326 PS (240 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) so it’s more powerful than the regular SQ5 offered in Europe with 313 PS (230 kW). Thanks to the additional oomph, the high performance mid-size crossover will need just 5.1 seconds to cover the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint and it will keep on accelerating until it hits an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Even though the performances are very impressive for a diesel-powered crossover, the Audi SQ5 Competition still manages to remain quite frugal as fuel consumption stands at just 6.6 liters / 100 km in the combined cycle.
