Audi starts teasing the A3 sedan
Audi is about to reveal the sedan version of the A3 and for this occasion they have uploaded a teaser video which also announces the launch of the Audi Media TV video channel. The A3 Sedan will be shown online on March 27 at 0:01 CET. It will be a follow-up to the concept shown back in 2011 and promises to be a worthy adversary for the recently introduced Mercedes-Benz CLA. It is expected to be 4.4 meters long, 1.84 meters wide and 1.39 meters tall, with styling just about the same as the three- and five-door A3, except for the rear end which will get a typical sedan arrangement.
As far as engines are concerned, these will be taken from the A3 lineup so expect a variety of gasoline engines starting with a 1.2-liter TFSI pumping out 105 HP (77 kW) and ending with a 1.8-liter TFSI delivering 180 HP (132 kW). For diesel fans, the Ingolstadt-based carmaker will most likely offer a 2.0-liter TDI with 150 HP (110 kW) and 184 HP (135 kW).
