Audi unleashes RS3 Sportback with 367 HP
Audi has taken the wraps off the RS3 Sportback which packs a mighty 367 HP punch. The Ingolstadt-based automaker says this is a “world-beating car” and it’s because underneath the hood it packs a “class-conquering engine”. Before we talk about the motor, let’s have a look at the exterior design which adopts an aggressive styling enhanced by the big air intakes and muscular wheel arches while at the back there’s a dual oval exhaust system. The hot hatchback rides on 19-inch rims and has received a glossy black diffuser while on the inside it has Nappa leather-wrapped sport seats, stainless steel pedals and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
The heart and soul of the 2015 Audi RS3 Sportback is a mighty five-cylinder 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine unleashing 367 HP (270 kW) and 342 lb-ft (465 Nm) of torque. All that power is channeled to both axles through a 7-speed S tronic gearbox to a quattro all-wheel drive system. This hardware setup grants the vehicle with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 4.3 seconds and an electronically-capped top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) but for more money the limiter can be raised to 174 mph (280 km/h).
Audi says deliveries of the model are programmed to commence in the summer of 2015 but you will be able place an order starting March.
