BMW launches 640i Coupe M Performance Edition in Japan
BMW has announced the 640i Coupe M Performance Edition set to be sold only in Japan. It is a bit peculiar seeing a JDM-spec car featuring a left-hand drive layout, but most likely the actual cars will feature the steering wheel on the right. This latest special edition of the 6-Series Coupe comes with an Alpine White exterior paint scheme which has been combined with carbon fiber side mirror caps, blacked out front grille and the 20-inch M lightweight alloy wheels. It also benefits from the M Sport Package and is equipped a standard with adaptive LED headlights.
Stepping inside the cabin, the 2015 BMW 640i Coupe M Performance Edition has a Dakota leather wrapping the sport seats, along with an M Sport steering wheel and a carbon fiber gear knob. Other goodies worth mentioning would have to be the soft-close doors, ambient lighting, Comfort Access, gray poplar wood trim and stainless steel pedals.
Power comes from a 6-cylinder, 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine delivering 320 PS and 450 Nm of torque to the rear wheels with help from an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
BMW Japan says they will make only 10 units of this special 640i Coupe and each will carry a starting price of ¥10,979,000.
