BMW launches ActiveHybrid 7 Individual Edition in Japan
BMW is introducing in Japan the ActiveHybrid 7 Individual Edition which will be built in a limited series of just 20 units, with prices starting at ¥13,100,000. The cars are programmed to arrive in dealerships in December and will be sold with either a Citrine Black or Mineral White exterior paint scheme combined with “BMW Individual” lettering, sunroof and elegant 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. On the inside there’s an Alcantara roof liner, Merino leather upholstery and a wood & leather steering while the BMW Individual sill plates together with ash piano black and walnut satin honey brown wood trims round off the list of changes.
The BMW ActiveHybrid 7 Individual Edition comes with a six-cylinder 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine working together with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. This hardware setup provides the vehicle with a combined output of 354 HP (260 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) which is enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 5.7 seconds.
BMW says the vehicle has an average fuel consumption of 6.7 liters / 100 km (41.5 mpg UK or 34.5 mpg US) and can be driven on electric power for up to 2.4 miles (4 km).
