Those of you who just can’t wait for the fully-fledged BMW M2 might want to settle with the next best thing, the M235i Coupe. For this particular model, the tuners at AC Schnitzer have developed an upgrade program which has lifted output of the 6-cylinder 3.0-liter TwinPower gasoline engine to no less than 380 PS (279 kW). It’s enough to grant the high performance coupe with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in less than 5 seconds. Customers also have the possibility of selecting from either a racing or a sport suspension, with the former being adjustable and lowering the ride height between 30 and 40mm.
AC Schnitzer has also developed several carbon fiber bits and pieces like the rear diffuser, front splitter and mirror caps. Also on the menu are several alloy wheels varying in sizes from 18 to 20 inches, along with a sports exhaust system and a roof spoiler. Inside the cabin there are velour floor mats, custom gear knobs, alloy pedals and an aluminum handbrake lever.
Other power upgrades are available for the 218d which can be tuned to unleash 171 PS whereas the 220d is tweaked to churn 218 PS. There’s also a healthy power boost for the 225d that can generate as much as 258 PS.
