Well-known German tuner G-Power has prepared an upgrade kit for the BMW M5 Touring (E61) which focuses on the 5.0-liter V10 twin supercharged engine. This is actually a follow-up to their kit from three years ago when the output of the engine was increased to 750 HP and 750 Nm. The added grunt enabled the high-performance wagon to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 4.5 seconds on its way to an electronically-limited maximum speed of 224 mph (360 km/h). The updated package has increased output to an impressive 820 HP and 790 Nm.
As a result of the added oomph, the vehicle now completes the sprint in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed (also limited) of 225 mph (362 km/h). According to G-Power, 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) takes 9.5 seconds whereas the 0-186 mph (0-300 km/h) task is accomplished in 25.6 seconds.
The BMW M5 Hurricane RR Touring rides on the tuner’s 20-inch Silverstone RS alloys shod in Michelin Pilot Sport tires and benefits from a 9-way adjustable coilover suspension. The braking system consists of 396mm front discs with six-point calipers along with 380mm rear discs with four-point calipers.
All these can be had for 242,016 euros if we don’t take into account the value added tax.
