The aftermarket specialists from G-Power have released a comprehensive upgrade package tailored to the BMW M6 Convertible. They focused on the car’s twin turbocharged V8 4.4-liter engine which has received the tuner’s Bi-Tronik 2 remapping that has bumped output from the stock 560 PS and 680 Nm to no less than 740 PS and 975 Nm. Besides the software optimization, to extract so much power the tuner had to make a series of hardware tweaks, including a new titanium exhaust system which compared to the standard exhaust is 12 kg lighter.
After the upgrades were implemented, the BMW M6 Convertible by G-Power now can cover the 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) run in only 10.7 seconds and will hit a top speed of more than 300 km/h (186 mph) as the tuner has removed the car’s electronic top speed limiter.
Besides the extra punch, the tuner is also offering their HURRICANE RR 21-inch aircraft-grade ultra-light forged alloy wheels available in different finishes that come shod in 255/30 ZR21 front and 295/25 ZR22 rear Michelin tires.
The aforementioned titanium-made exhaust can be had with carbon or titanium tailpipes that each have a diameter of 100 mm and provide the high-performance convertible with a “throaty sound.”
