BMW X4 M40i goes official with 360 PS
The BMW X4 M40i is making its online debut and will be heading to dealerships in the near future. This will be from now on the most powerful version of the entire X4 range thanks to a six-cylinder, 3.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that pushes out 360 PS and 465 Nm of torque. It’s enough muscle to grant the high-performance SAV from Bavaria with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in just 4.9 seconds and a top speed that has been electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h).
Aside from getting a beefy engine, the BMW X4 M40i has also received 20-inch M double-spoke alloy wheels, new body accents applied onto the front bumper, along with Ferric Grey side mirror caps and a sports exhaust system equipped with valve control and chrome black tips. As far as the interior cabin is concerned, there are special door sills with the “X4 M40i” lettering, along with sports seats, an M gear shift lever and an M steering wheel wrapped around in leather.
BMW’s engineers have installed stronger stabilizer and springs along with an increased camber on the front axle while the adaptive dampers have also been fine-tuned specifically for this model. Lastly, the xDrive all-wheel drive system has also been revised to reduce the roll tendency and grant superior driving pleasure.
