BMW X6 M Design Edition surfaces, official announcement imminent
It appears that BMW has prepared a special edition of the X6 M which will be sold under the “Design Edition” moniker. An official announcement has not arrived yet but we already have some preliminary information about the high-performance SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle). It can be distinguished by its attractive body side graphics, a spoiler mounted on the tailgate and beefy 21-inch alloy wheels. It also comes with several glossy black accents and a custom front splitter manufactured from carbon fiber.
The interior has gained Merino leather seats with contrast stitching, as well as a two-tone finish for the dashboard.
We also notice an individually-numbered plaque and a black trim. Limited most likely to only 100 units, the 2013 BMW X6 M Design Edition will probably be motivated by a V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine churning 555 HP (408 kW) and a maximum torque of 502 lb-ft (680 Nm). The car should be capable of sprinting to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) which as you might have guessed will be electronically limited for safety reasons.
