Callaway has released full details about its tuning program created for the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. Under the hood they kept the large 7.0-liter V8 engine but they have decreased its weight while increasing output from 505 bhp and 481 lb-ft to 652 bhp and 620 lb-ft. The hand-built motor is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission and allows the vehicle to perform the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in 3.7 seconds and the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds at 124 mph (199 km/h). The Z/28 also benefits from a wind tunnel-tested aerodynamic body kit and has received Brembo carbon ceramic brakes.
It’s now sitting on larger Pirelli tires and the additional oomph of the engine was obtained by installing an Eaton TVS supercharger together with a low-restriction exhaust and a high-flow intake. It also has been configured with race-spec dampers, embroidered floor mats, exterior badging, a dash plaque and an underhood build plaque.
They will make only 10 of these kits which can be had from $19,995 or you can buy the whole car for $94,995.
