About seven months ago we saw Citroen’s striking Wild Rubis concept at 2013 Auto Shanghai. Now we have learned from the French automaker that the production version has received the DS X7 moniker and will be produced in China and offered locally. Manufacturing will commence towards the end of next year while the first units are set to reach dealerships in early 2015 at a yet undisclosed price tag. Citroen hasn’t said anything about the possibility of selling the car in Europe but this could happen in the years to come.
The Citroen DS X7 will ride on the DS5’s platform and will be powered by a 1.6-liter turbo engine rated at 163 bhp. The car will probably be offered with a larger 1.8-liter turbocharged mill but Citroen hasn’t released a confirmation for this info.
They did say a sedan version of the DS4 will be produced and commercialized in China starting 2014.
