British media is reporting Citroen plans to introduce a production version of the DS3 Cabrio Racing concept as early as next month. Some of you will remember the concept appeared earlier this year at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed and it seems its production sibling will look just about the same and will have an optional Moondark matte exterior paint scheme. For the interior there will be a bunch of Alcantara accents and sport seats wrapped around in Nappa leather. Production will be limited to 400 units but this piece of information has not been confirmed at this point.
The heart of soul of the Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing is going to be a four-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbocharged engine outputting 200 HP and a maximum torque of 275 Nm. Thanks to this engine, the car will need just 6.5 seconds to get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h).
