Citroen teases DS X7, debuts later this month in Beijing
Citroen has released a teaser photo of what we assume is the DX X7, essentially a production version of the Wild Rubis concept showcased at last year’s Auto Shanghai. The SUV has been designed exclusively for the Chinese market and promises to “marry power and refinement” once production kicks off in China at the Changan-PSA joint venture. It is believed the SUV will feature a four-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 163 bhp and 240 Nm along with a more powerful variant generating 200 bhp and 275 Nm.
Customers will also be able to opt for a lesser 1.8-liter naturally-aspirated mill putting out 139 bhp and 170 Nm. The base model will carry a starting price of approximately 160,000 yuan while the range-topping variant will set you back somewhere in the region of 200,000 yuan. The DS X7 will share its architecture with the DS5 and DS 5LS.
