The Hyundai Genesis Coupe has always been a car compatible with receives various upgrades in terms of performance and styling so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that for this year’s edition of SEMA we will see another custom version of the attractive car. This time around, it has been developed by the well-known and reputable UK-based engineering design and manufacturer Cosworth that has decided to team up with Hyundai for creating this Cosworth Genesis Racing Series Concept (CGRSC). It will be showcased for the first time at the end of October during the SEMA show. As you would expect, the car boasts more power under its hood and also receives various modifications over the standard model.
This custom Genesis Coupe is powered by the same V6 3.8-liter direct-injection engine but thanks to Cosworth the power has been lifted by 41 hp and 30 lb-ft, for a grand total of 389 hp at 6,400 rpm and a peak torque of 325 lb-ft reached at 5,100 rpm. In addition, it has also received a new sports suspension and better brakes, courtesy of Cosworth.
The renderings we see show us that the car has also received a wide array of exterior modifications, such as the aero front splitter, built-in rear spoiler, lightweight racing wheels with a gunmetal finish, a blackout rear spoiler, as well as an attractive satin-gloss blue finish that has been specially developed for this custom Genesis Coupe and might we say it looks very nice.
