Dartz Black Shark teased ahead of October 19 reveal
We won’t blame you if the “Dartz” name doesn’t ring a bell because it’s a rather unknown specialty marque from Latvia. Their next model is set to make its debut on October 19 and will use the Black Shark moniker. Seen here is a teaser image of the vehicle which will be based on the Mercedes-Benz GL63 but with a Kevlar titanium body and equipped with automatically retractable door handles with electric shock device. The model also has fingerprint recognition, retina scanner while all of the features & functions of the car will be controllable via a Vertu smartphone bundled with the vehicle.
Dartz says the Black Shark will be available with a bi-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine sourced from the Mercedes-Benz GL63 where it delivers 550 bhp (410 kW) and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft). At an additional cost, the vehicle can be configured with the V12 engine from the GL65 AMG and further tuned to unleash 1,500 bhp (1,119 kW).
