Datsun teases a new concept, to be unveiled in February at Delhi Auto Expo
Datsun has announced plans to showcase a new concept at next month’s Delhi Auto Expo in India. They are previewing the concept through this design sketch which shows a compact city car that will be a preview of an upcoming production model planned to be sold in emerging markets. According to Datsun, the road-going car will be developed for “up-and-coming young customers in high-growth markets), including India. We assume the concept and the production model ride on the Renault and Nissan co-developed Common Modular Architecture (CMA).
Internally known as the I2, Renault will likely receive its own version of the car and will use the same engines as Datsun’s version but the two will adopt a different exterior design. Datsun has announced the concept will be showcased at India Expo Mart at Greater Noida Delhi NCR on February 5.
