DS5 facelift goes official
The DS5 facelift has been revealed online this week and will be exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show early next month. Right from the start you will notice the premium hatchback has lost the Citroën badge as PSA has established DS as a standalone brand so all models from now on will come without the double chevron logo. The facelifted has brought a more sculpted front grille and the xenon LED headlights derived from the DS3 & DS3 Cabrio facelift. There’s also a chrome sabre connecting the tip of the headlights with the front side windows while the rear end shows a restyled bumper hosting the dual exhaust tips.
The DS5 facelift has received a newly developed color touchdrive interface which has enabled a less cluttered cabin with 12 fewer buttons. This new system comes with Mirror Screen technology which means the driver will be able to access his smartphone right from the touchscreen display of the infotainment system.
The luxurious cabin benefits from a plethora of comfort goodies such as keyless entry & start, massaging front seats (with memory function), dual zone climate control system, electrochrome mirror and a Denon sound system.
The DS5 facelift will be available with the following engines: THP 165 with 165 HP & 240 Nm, BlueHDi with 120 HP & 300 Nm, BlueHDi with 180 HP & 400 Nm and a 200 HP all-wheel drive hybrid diesel model. Depending on engine choice, the model is offered with a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic gearbox.
