The Formula 1 championship originally debuted in the 1950 season so naturally since then there have been lots of technical changes. A video created by Brazilian TV network Globo for the 2013 Brazilian F1 GP shows the evolution of the cars through the decades, from Alberto Ascari’s Ferrari to Sebastian Vettel’s Red Bull. Next year there will be another significant modification in F1 as the cars will switch to turbocharged 1.6 V6 engines, as a result of the global downsizing trend.
