Fenyr SuperSport returns in the metal
Following an online reveal last month, the Fenyr SuperSport is making a comeback in a set of live images. The hypercar is actually follow-up to the Lykan HyperSport that was featured in Furious 7, but now its successor is even more powerful and a lot faster. Its heart and soul is a 4.0-liter flat-six, twin-turbo engine developed by RUF to generate a massive 900 hp and a peak torque of 1,400 Nm. All that power is channeled to the road with help from a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. Thanks to its carbon fiber construction, the vehicle tips the scales at just 1,200 kg.
It’s no wonder the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run takes just 2.7 seconds and the vehicle is capable of topping out at more than 249 mph (400 km/h). W Motors says the Fenyr SuperSport will be limited to only 25 cars and they say the vehicle was developed in collaboration with Magna Steyr and StudioTorino.
It will be interesting to see whether the vehicle will be featured in the eighth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise set to air on April 14, 2017. The Lykan HyperSport made a big splash in Furious 7, so Fenyr SuperSport could be featured in the next movie.
