You are looking at a one-off Ferrari SP FFX model created specifically for a wealthy Japanese customer who wanted a unique Ferrari to call his own. The vehicle is based on the Ferrari FF and was showcased during a private viewing event in which one of the participants managed to take a photo and then upload it online for the entire world to see. It was created by Ferrari’s Special Projects coachbuidling branch and according to various rumors it previews the styling direction that the next generation of the Ferrari California will take.
Speaking of the next Cali, it is believed the model will use an evolution of the 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo engine which powers the Maserati Quattroporte. The engine will be tuned to deliver around 552 HP (406 kW) and could be revealed later this year before going on sale in early 2015.
