Ford announces performance specs for 2015 Edge Sport

Ford has disclosed full performance specifications for the 2015 Edge Sport. Slated to go on sale this spring, the crossover is going to be available with a V6 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine developing 315 bhp (235 kW) and 474 Nm (350 lb-ft) of torque. The engine will allow the model to return an EPA-estimated 18 mpg in the city, 27 mpg on the highway and 21 mpg in the combined cycle when in front-wheel drive guise while the AWD model will do 17 mpg / 24 mpg / 20 mpg.

Prices for the 2015 Edge Sport begin at $38,100 and for this money you get stiffer springs, bespoke rear dampers and a sport-tuned suspension that has beefier anti-roll bars. It also benefits from polished aluminum 20-inch alloy wheels and has received magnetic low-gloss painted pockets. On the inside it has sport seats wrapped around in perforated leather and suede, along with a faux carbon fiber trim and aluminum pedal caps. Other goodies on the menu include an infotainment system with an eight-inch display, Sony sound system and ambient lighting.
