About three months ago Ford unveiled the Ka concept in Brazil and now they have released basically as sedan version of that concept. Showcased today in New Delhi, the Figo concept serves as a preview for a very possible production version developed for India as well as for other emerging markets where small and affordable cars are very popular. The vehicle has extremely compact dimensions as its overall length is below the four-meter mark. The reason why it’s so short is because cars in India which are below four meters long benefit from lower taxes compared to models above the four meter mark.
Ford hasn’t said anything about what powers the Figo concept but they did say the small sedan spent hundreds of hours in the wind tunnel to receive optimized aerodynamics. In addition, it has been fitted with specially developed exterior mirrors which are flexible and they don’t break off that easily after an impact with another vehicle or a motorcycle.
A production version will likely come out in the months to come.
