Ford reveals 2015 Mustang performance specifications

After months of waiting, Ford has finally announced the performance specifications of the 2015 Mustang which is programmed to go on sale sometime this fall at a starting price of $24,425. The base V6 3.7-liter engine will generate 300 bhp (223 kW) and 379 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque which means it’s slightly less powerful compared to the previous generation model. For more power, clients can opt for the 4-cylinder 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine capable of outputting 310 bhp (231 kW) and 433 Nm (320 lb-ft) of torque.
Another engine available for the 2015 Ford Mustang would have to be a V8 5.0-liter unleashing 435 bhp (324 kW) and 541 Nm (400 lb-ft) of torque in the range-topping GT variant. There’s also a Performance Package encompassing a thicker rear sway bar, retuned suspension (with updates springs, monotube rear dampers and bushings), a K-brace connecting the strut towers to the bulkhead, more cooling and an updated electronic stability control system together with tweaked electric power-assisted steering and anti-lock brakes.
This Performance Package also brings a 3.55:1 final drive ratio, beefier brakes and 19-inch Ebony Black alloy wheels wrapped around in Pirelli tires. Opt for the Mustang GT with this kit and you get a Torsen rear differential, 3.73:1 final drive ratio, strut tower brace, wider 19-inch rims, front splitter and Brembo six-piston brake calipers with 380mm front & 330mm rear rotors.
