Haval has taken the wraps off the Coupe concept at home in China where the vehicle was unveiled a few days ago during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. Calling this concept a coupe is just wrong taking into account the body style seen here is without any doubt a crossover. The company describes it as a cross-country performance SUV and acts as a preview for the next generation of the Haval Sport. The Chinese automaker mentions this vehicle has “sports car’s genes” as well as a “limousine’s comfort and luxury.”
Haval didn’t talk too much about the car’s specifications but they did say we are dealing with a plug-in hybrid electric concept fitted with an all-wheel drive system. In addition, the Coupe concept can return an impressive 106.9 mpg US (2.2 liters / 100 km).
