Honda Brio MPV previewed, launching in September
At this year’s Indonesian Motor Show scheduled to kick off on September 19, Honda will introduce an MPV version of the Brio which as you might know already is available as a hatchback and sedan. It will be an entry-level budget MPV that will be able to accommodate up to seven people thanks to its generous three-row layout.
Honda is previewing the car with this design sketch which shows a truly appealing style but we have a feeling the production model will look a lot less attractive in real metal once it debuts at the auto show in Indonesia.
There’s little information available at the moment about this Honda Brio MPV but we have managed to find out that it utilizes the Honda Freed platform and will feature a generous 185mm ground clearance. Honda says it’s powered by a modest 1.5-liter gasoline engine which will provide “both sporty performance and good fuel efficiency.”
Production of the Honda Brio MPV is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2014 at the firm’s second factory located in Karawang, Indonesia.
