Honda CR-Z gets a $150 bump to $20,935 for 2015 model year
Honda has announced the 2015 CR-Z carries a starting price of $20,935 (including taxes) which makes it $150 more expensive than 2014MY. Honda doesn’t offer any extras for that money so the price hike isn’t justified at all especially since the CR-Z is a slow-selling model. The vehicle comes as standard with automatic climate control, Bluetooth, rearview camera, power windows and locks, six-speaker sound system and a cruise control system. The EX trim adds LED daytime running lights, fog lights, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated mirrors, aluminum pedals and seven-speaker audio system. EX with Navi brings touchscreen navigation.
Motivation of the 2015 Honda CR-Z is provided by the same hybrid setup consisting of a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine paired with an electric motor and a six-speed manual or optional CVT transmission. Combined output stands at 130 bhp (97 kW) and 140 lb-ft (127 lb-ft for CVT). If this isn’t enough, an optional supercharger kit available for $5,495 adds 67 bhp (50 kW) for a grand total of 197 bhp (147 kW).
