Honda details the Odyssey (JDM)
Honda has released additional details about the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) version of the 2014 Odyssey. The car has already gone on sale in the home market with its quite appealing exterior design featuring a prominent front grille and sweptback headlights. Other highlights include the sliding rear doors, a spoiler mounted on the tailgate and a distinctive character line that you just don’t see on this type of vehicle. Step inside the van’s cabin and you find what Honda likes to call a “modern suite” design with metallic accents, wood trim and an infotainment system.
The 2014 Honda Odyssey (JDM) can also receive second-row “premium cradle” seats which can recline and come with incorporated footrests. The vehicle is built on an all-new architecture with a lower floor and a higher ceiling compared to the model it replaces. As a consequence, it benefits from a roomier cabin and a lower center of gravity. Under the hood it packs a 2.4-liter i-VTEC engine mated to a CVT.
