Hyundai Motor Company, under its Genesis luxury sub-brand, has finally unveiled the G90 flagship saloon in the US. Besides the United States, Genesis G90 would be retailed in several countries, including China, Russia and a few countries in Middle East. The G90 sedan is available multiple powertrain options: an all-new 3.3-litre direct-injected, twin-turbocharged V6 engine and the Tau 5.0-litre direct-injected V8 motor.
Being designed by the new Prestige Design Group, the 2017 Genesis G90 reflects Hyundai’s new ‘Athletic Elegance’ design language. The sedan has a prominent hood, flanked by a powerful silhouette. The front fascia flaunts the ‘CREST’ grille and full-LED signature headlights. In addition, base trims would get LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) as standard. The rear-end of the sedan is graced by vertically shaped full LED lights. Just so you know, Hyundai Genesis is the most aerodynamic sedan in its segment with 0.27 Cd. It is available in five paint shades: Casablanca White, Caspian Black, Manhattan Brown, Santiago Silver and London Gray.
The cabin boasts of a Nappa leather-stitched instrument panel, while the Lexicon audio speaker grilles deliver an ultra-luxury ambience. Talking about the engines, the 3.3-litre direct-injected, twin-turbocharged V6 engine churns out a maximum power of 365hp at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 376 lb.-ft. between 1,300-4,500 rpm. Coming to the top-of-the-trim 5.0-litre direct-injected V8 engine, it generates a top power of 420hp at 6,000 rpm with highest torque of 383 lb.-ft. at 5,000 rpm. Both the engines are linked to an advanced 2nd-generation 8-speed automatic transmission.
