The Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo has made its debut in the metal at the ongoing IAA. It’s now heading to the PlayStation 3 console exclusively for Gran Turismo 6 as a free downloadable content and as you can see it has been envisioned as the ultimate racecar powered by a very strong hydrogen fuel cell system unleashing a combined output of no less than 871 bhp. The massive power is achieved by a dual fuel cell stacks that pump out 670 bhp while the super capacitor delivers an additional 201 bhp thanks to energy recuperation during braking. That immense power is channeled to four in-wheel motors giving the virtual concept “uncompromised traction”, according to Hyundai.
One can only assume the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo is very fast taking into account it weighs as little as 972 kg, so the power-to-weight-ratio is very impressive and should make the concept an absolute blast on a track. It should also be capable of generating a very impressive soundtrack since the air blower’s turbine can spin at a whopping 200,000 rpm, thus giving the vehicle a “distinct racecar roar.”
It’s highly unlikely a production Hyundai will ever get close to this concept, but one can only dream about it.
