The students from the IED – Istituto Europeo di Design have come up with a concept wearing the Hyundai badge to rival the beautiful Alfa Romeo 4C. The concept was actually commissioned by Hyundai Design Center Europe and is characterized as being “a tribute to the Made in Italy design that is studied at the IED.” We are basically dealing with a two-seater, mid-engined lightweight sports car which is 4100mm long, 1880mm wide and 1160mm tall with a wheelbase that spans at 2450mm while the curb weight stands at just 1,852 lbs (840 kg).
The Hyundai PassoCorto concept was envisaged with a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder twin-turbo gasoline engine from Hyundai which pumps out 270 bhp. The car has a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and visitors of the Geneva Motor Show next month will be able to see a 1:10 scale model of the concept.
