Jaguar working on estate and coupe versions of 2015 XS

According to a new report, Jaguar’s upcoming BMW 3-Series rival which will be called the XS will get estate and coupe versions to be a better competitor in this difficult segment. The sedan version is programmed to reach Jaguar dealerships in the second half of 2015 while the other two body styles will be available shortly after that. The Jaguar XS will utilize JLR’s all-new iq[Al] aluminum architecture and will reportedly be sold with turbocharged and diesel 2.0-liter engines, with some of the models set to have CO2 emissions of less than 100 g/km.

Jaguar is also plotting engines with a higher output, such as the V6 3.0-liter rated at 240 HP (177 kW) and a V6 3.0-liter supercharged mill churning 340 HP (250 kW). Jaguar believes the XS will help the brand double its sales and that it will be one of the most attractive cars in this segment.
