Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 by Hennessey does the quarter mile
American tuner Hennessey has recently uploaded a video with a modified Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 which ran the quarter mile. The vehicle in question has been equipped with the tuner’s HPE650 package which allows the high-performance SUV to complete the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in 3.9 seconds and complete the quarter mile in 12.6 seconds at 110 mph (177 km/h). The vehicle comes with bespoke badging, floor mats, individually-numbered plaques, new alloy/tire combo and a better interior cabin.
The standard Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 offers 470 bhp (350 kW), but the Hennessey-tuned model squeezes no less than 650 bhp (485 kW) from the same HEMI V8 6.4-liter engine. To obtain the additional horsepower, the tuner added ported cylinder heads, a TVS2300 supercharger, custom air intake, updated fuel system, stainless steel long tube headers and a revised ECU.
