Lamborghini Egoista breaks cover
Lamborghini has shocked its fans last weekend when out of nowhere they unveiled the Egoista Concept as part of the firm’s 50th anniversary celebrations. To remain strictly as a one-off, the Egoista is a single-seater with design inspired from the famous Apache helicopter. It makes extensive use of lightweight materials such as carbon fiber in order to lower curb weight as much as possible. Also for the exact same reason, Lamborghini says the cockpit canopy can be removed to shave off additional weight. The Egoista is motivated by a 5.2-liter V10 engine rated at 600 HP (441 kW).
The Italian supercar maker says the interior cabin has been designed like a tailor-made suit for the driver. The cockpit is manufactured entirely from aluminum and carbon fiber, while the front of the car boasts LED clearance lights as opposed to the conventional headlights.
