Lamborghini Huracan GT3 breaks cover
The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 has made its world premiere at the firm’s HQ located in Sant’Agata Bolognese in Italy. It will take part in the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series set to kick off later this year and will feature an uprated V10 5.2-liter engine coupled to a sequential six-speed gearbox equipped with a three-disc race-spec clutch. It will come with an aerodynamic body kit manufactured from composite materials featuring different side skirts, ventilated front fenders as well as an adjustable rear wing. Also new is the dual exhaust system and an aggressive rear diffuser.
The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 is equipped with an aluminum carbon chassis that has a revised front and rear subframe. It has received a series of other upgrades such as the FIA-compliant roll cage, high-performance braking system along with a roof hatch allowing the driver to get out of the vehicle in case of a fire.
Photos of the interior cabin are not available at this point but Lamborghini says it has a carbon fiber racing seat, a new multi-function steering wheel and a fire extinguishing system.
