Lamborghini launches Huracan as a Gallardo successor
Following months of anticipation, Lamborghini has taken the wraps off the Gallardo successor which will be sold with the “Huracan” moniker. In terms of design it seems to mix styling cues of the larger Aventador along with the more exclusive Sesto Elemento.
The vehicle tips the scales ta 1,422 kg and will be sold as standard with carbon ceramic brakes and a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox. Also standard will be the generous 12.3-inch display capable of providing all the information the driver will ever need.
Its heart and soul is an evolution of the company’s V10 5.2-liter engine which in the Huracan is going to develop no less than 610 HP and a peak torque of 560 Nm. Lamborghini’s entry-level model is going to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in just 3.2 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 202 mph (325 km/h).
Lamborghini says deliveries of their newest model will kick off in spring, most likely after the car will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show scheduled for March.
