Lexus shows facelifted CT 200h at Guangzhou Motor Show

About a week ago we saw several official images of the 2014 Lexus CT 200h and now the Japanese premium marque has introduced the car at the Guangzhou Motor Show. Right from the start we notice the implementation of the firm’s now familiar spindle grille while the 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels are also additions. Another change would have to be the new shark fin-style roof-mounted antenna, while at the rear there’s a new bumper featuring a more horizontal structure together with a blackened center area. The facelifted CT 200h will be available with a choice of six exterior paint schemes, including Lexus Red which is new on this model.

Step inside the cabin and you will immediately observe a thinner TFT 4.2-inch display and a next-gen Remote Touch Interface. Lexus mentions the sound system now has bamboo loudspeaker tech and that the car can be equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system, Intuitive Parking Assist and a rear view camera.

The hatchback has received several aerodynamic updates, a few suspension tweaks and benefits from an increased body rigidity. Power comes from the same gasoline 1.8-liter engine and an electric motor offering a combined output of 134 bhp (100 kW). Lexus says the 2014 CT 200h will do 43 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.
