Lincoln will be introducing the breathtaking Continental concept on Wednesday at the New York Auto Show. It features an attractive Rhapsody Blue exterior paint scheme and comes with a new chrome front grille replacing the traditional split-wing layout with a more streamlined appearance. It sits on 21-inch polished alloys and has received “E-Latch” door handles that are incorporated into the beltline for a cleaner look. Under the hood it gets a V6 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine which they say it’s exclusive to Lincoln but it’s output is not known at this moment.
As far as the cabin is concerned, the Lincoln Continental concept has gold LED ambient lighting, 30-way seats, Revel Ultima sound system and a front passenger seat that can be fully reclined. It also comes with a SPD SmartGlass tinted sunroof which allows passengers to control the heat generated by the direct sunlight. It blocks 99% of UV rays and can modify the cabin temperature by up to 18 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Lincoln Continental concept has also received detachable leather travel cases, a champagne storage compartment and rear lap trays while safety & assistance systems include Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Protection, Enhanced Park Assist along with a 360-degree camera.
A production version is expected to arrive for the 2016 model year.
