Mazda CX-3 teased, heading to Los Angeles Auto Show
Mazda has published a teaser design sketch depicting the CX-3 compact crossover which is going to be introduced on November 19 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The model will become the entry-level crossover offering from Mazda and promises to offer “beauty and sophistication” as a result of the implementing the firm’s Kodo design language which will enable a “sharper form with an enhanced sense of speed.” Other details are not available but from this attached sketch we notice a generous front grille with metallic accents, a curvaceous silhouette as well as body cladding on the wheel arches and the lower front bumper.
Chances are the 2015 Mazda CX-3 will be based on the Mazda2 so the engine lineup will probably kick off with a SKYACTIV-G 1.5-liter available with 75 HP & 135 Nm and 90 HP & 148 Nm. Mazda could also offer a 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-G i-ELOOP rated at 115 HP & 148 Nm and a 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-D developing 105 HP & 220 Nm.
Aside from bringing the CX-3, Mazda will also showcase in Los Angeles the facelifted CX-5 and Mazda6.
