Mazda MX-5 set to be offered with GT aftermarket conversion
Rumors are circulating the web concerning a hotter version of the aging Mazda MX-5 which is said to be offered with a GT aftermarket conversion kit. It will be based on the MX-5 GT Concept showcased last year during the Goodwood Festival of Speed and it will apparently reach production phase courtesy of Mazda’s racing partner Jota. British media is reporting that the MX-5 GT will be offered with a three-year warranty and will be available for less than 30,000 pounds which seems to be like a good deal for a very fun-to-drive car.
The package will encompass numerous goodies like updated exterior styling which will mimic the concept, along with a sport-tuned suspension. The familiar 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine is going to feature a remapped ECU and a custom sports exhaust system which should enable the mill to output as much as 203 bhp (151 kW).
