Mazda has released a teaser photo for the Hazumi concept which will be showcased to the public in full for the first time during the 84th edition of the Geneva Motor Show programmed for the beginning of March. The word “hazumi” refers to “bound” or “spring up” in Japanese and essentially the concept serves as a preview for the next generation of the Mazda2 set to come out most likely before the end of this year since the current generation is in need of a replacement as soon as possible.
Mazda has announced that the new Mazda2 is primarily going to target a female crowd and from various sources we heard that the vehicle is going to ride on a shortened platform of the CX-5. The vehicle will most likely be bigger than the outgoing model so it should offer more room inside the cabin.
