The Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG has gained an impressive power package developed by the aftermarket specialists from IMSA. The V8 5.5-liter twin-turbo engine now benefits from a remapped ECU that has boosted output from the series 585 HP (430 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) to 720 HP (529 KW) and 796 lb-ft (1,080 Nm) of torque. We don’t know how fast the car is now but we remind you the stock S63 AMG needs only 4.4 seconds to cover the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint so this tuned variant will probably do it in 4.1 seconds or so.
Besides packing more punch, the German super sedan also comes with a carbon fiber body that encompasses among others aerodynamic side skirts, front lip spoiler and a different rear diffuser. The Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG seen here rides on 21-inch forged alloy wheels and has also received CNC-machined exhaust tip manufactured from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum.
IMSA says that customers can choose from a wide variety of premium leather and Alcantara upholsteries as well as from exotic wood trims and carbon fiber inserts.
