German aftermarket specialists at mcchip-dkr have developed an upgrade program tailored to the Mercedes G63 AMG. Work started underneath the hood where the twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine has received new turbochargers, different exhaust system and the tuner’s stage 4 software optimization. As a result of these optimizations, output of the motor was increased from 544 PS (400 kW) to 810 PS (596 kW) while peak torque jumped from the series 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) to 950 Nm (701 lb-ft).
Aside from this healthy power boost pack, the Mercedes G63 AMG by mcchip-dkr also sports a much more aggressive body kit which has been widened by 12 cm at both sides. It now rides on a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels covered in 37×15.20 R18 tires while the ground clearance has been increased by no less than 15 cm. This jacked up suspension makes the vehicle look more like the G500-based 4×4² but it’s almost twice as powerful.
Last but not least, the tuning kit released by mcchip-dkr for the Mercedes G63 AMG also encompasses a specially made KW DDC chassis while the stopping power is now provided by a fresh set of front and rear brakes coming from the experts at MOV’IT.
