Mitsubishi launches Lancer Evolution Final Edition in US
Mitsubishi has introduced the 2015 Lancer Evolution Final Edition in United States. It represents the model’s swan song and only 1,600 examples will ever be made, with all of them sharing a 2.0-liter 16-valve inline-4 turbocharged & intercooled gasoline engine producing 303 bhp and 305 lb-ft of torque paired to a Super All Wheel control system. The cars also have bi-xenon HID headlights with leveling control, along with Eibach springs, Brembo two-piece front rotors, Bilstein shock absorbers and a choice of four exterior paints: Mercury Gray, Rally Red, Octane Blue and New Pearl White.
The Lancer Evolution Final Edition has also received several special tweaks like the dark chrome look on the Enkei alloy wheels and on the front grille surround, as well as a black aluminum roof and a glossy black finish on the hood air outlet and center bumper. Mitsubishi fitted the high-powered sedan with “Final Edition” badges while inside the cabin there’s an individually numbered plaque and revised meter display that shows a “Final Edition” animation.
The list of interior changes doesn’t end here as the Lancer Evolution Edition has a glossy black center console, red stitching and a black finish for the headliner, handles, sun visors and the pillars. Customers also get the active stability control with traction control logic, as well as 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, engine immobilizer anti-theft security alarm and a tire pressure monitoring system.
