The Ford Focus ST facelift sold in UK is now available with an aftermarket Mountune power package. It costs £1,195 (VAT included) and encompasses a high-flow air filter, a bigger intercooler, an optimized ECU and a low-loss cast crossover duct. After all these upgrades are implemented, the four-cylinder 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged gasoline engine gains 25 PS (18 kW) and 55 Nm (40 lb-ft) which brings the grand total to an impressive 275 PS (202 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. Installing the package takes around two hours and you get to keep the car’s warranty if the tuner’s package is installed at a Ford dealer.

Those who want an even more powerful Focus should go for the range-topping RS which has made the switch to an all-wheel drive system. It has a bigger 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that pumps out 350 PS (257 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) while the overboost function offers 470 Nm (347 lb-ft) for 15 seconds. Thanks to its beefier hardware, the Focus RS runs the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 4.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 165 mph (266 km/h).
If the Focus design starts to look a bit dated in your opinion, Ford has already announced the fourth generation will be out in 2017, so the ST should be out by 2018.
