If you have either the Ford Fiesta ST or Focus ST in your garage and wish it had more power under the hood, you’re in luck as The Blue Oval company is now offering a Mountune upgrade kit for these two models. Pricing kicks off at 599 pounds for the Fiesta ST which will come with a remapped ECU, a high-flow air filter and a new air box boasting a secondary inlet. As a result of these modifications, the EcoBoost 1.6-liter engine is capable of outputting 215 HP (158 kW) and a maximum torque of 236 lb-ft (320 Nm). It will enable the Fiesta ST to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.7 seconds (0.2s quicker than before).
As far as the Ford Focus ST is concerned, the 1,225 pounds kit includes a bigger alloy intercooler, a cast alloy inlet duct, remapped ECU and a high-flow air filter. After the changes are made, the EcoBoost 2.0-liter will churn 275 HP (202 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. The added power will enable the Focus ST to reach 62 mph in less than 6 seconds.
Both these kits can be installed in less than an hour and a half.
