All-new Hyundai Sonata breaks cover
A couple of weeks ago we saw Hyundai’s new generation Sonata inside a factory and now the South Korean has officially revealed the model in the KDM specification. The car is 4,855 mm long, 1,865 mm wide and 1,475 mm tall, with a 462-liter cargo capacity and a 2,805 mm wheelbase. It has received a MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension setup and can be had with a variety of 16- to 18-inch alloy wheels. The 2015 Sonata comes as standard with bi-xenon headlights equipped with High Beam Assist, LED DRLs (daytime running lights) and LED taillights.
At home in South Korea it will be available with a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter CVVL engine delivering 168 HP and 201 Nm, together with a 2.4 GDi rated at 193 HP and 247 Nm as well as a 2.0 LPi generating 151 HP and 194 Nm. Hyundai will offer a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic gearbox that will send power exclusively to the front axle.
Those sitting inside the cabin will be able to enjoy the heated and vented front seats, heated rear seats, along with a generous 8-inch touchscreen display part of the infotainment system which supports smartphone integration, Bluetooth connectivity and USB & iPod.
