All-new Subaru Outback bows in New York
Subaru has taken the wraps off the all-new 2015 Outback at the New York Auto Show. The vehicle is programmed to hit U.S. dealerships this summer and will feature a 221mm ground clearance as well as plastic body cladding and an aluminum hood. It will also feature 17- or 18-inch alloys, a tailgate-mounted spoiler, as well as a roof rack and a rakish windscreen. As standard the model is offered with a 6.2-inch display, an infotainment system, air conditioning, tilt & telescoping steering wheel and power windows & locks.
Premium gets ten-way power driver’s seat, 7-inch screen, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and a leather-covered steering wheel. Opt for Limited and you also get heated rear seats, perforated leather seats, Harman Kardon sound system, power passenger seat and a woodgrain trim.
Power comes from either a 175 bhp 4-cylinder 2.5-liter or a larger 256 bhp 6-cylinder 3.5-liter. Both these engines are coupled to a CVT and send the output to a symmetrical all-wheel drive arrangement. The four-cylinder model can return 25 mpg in the city, 33 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg in the combined cycle while the six-cylinder version will do 20 / 27 / 22.
