Nissan Navara NP300 revealed in European specification
The new Nissan Navara NP300 has reached Europe and will be exhibited at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show. It looks virtually the same as the international version which was introduced more than a year ago so it has lost some of its ruggedness in favor of a more upscale design which makes it look more premium than its predecessor. The new projector-style headlights come with built-in LED daytime running lights while the side mirrors now host the turning lights. Perhaps the most striking design feature is as the front where there’s a prominent V-shaped radiator grille featuring a generous amount of chrome.
Power comes from a four-cylinder, 2.3-liter dCi turbodiesel engine which according to Nissan is not only up to 24% more efficient than the old one, but also the most economical and cleanest engine in this segment. It will be offered in two output stages: 160 PS and 190 PS, with power sent to the wheels via either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional 7-speed automatic transmission which both can work with a 2WD or a 4WD system.
In terms of safety and assistance systems, the Euro-spec Nissan Navara NP300 can be had with parking sensors, a rearview camera, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Cruise Control as well as Forward Emergency Braking and Around View Monitor.
